standing on either side of the lake,
meeting wearily in hopes of diplomacy,
what was once black and white is consumed in shades of gray,
having known him as the enemy but becoming more than friendly
When morning broke,
she awoke to him wrapped around her,
one hand cupping possessively over her left breast,
she could feel his adagio heartbeat against her back,
it matched the rhythm held in his hand
They parted ways,
neither turned to call for the others name,
the air between them was so very silent,
while inside their hearts beat in violence,
the allegro tempo guiding them away
Their public meeting meant an act,
each time speaking the words of their seasoned scenes,
both were recklessly hoping that no one else,
seeing beneath the beneath

The first time Haruno Sakura said his name, it was edged caution with undertones of surprise.
The first time Haruno Sakura said his name, it was edged caution with undertones of surprise. Mission details had said nothing about Akatsuki interference; what was he doing here?
"But he isn't exactly interfering, is he?"
That was true-- he was just standing there in the lengthening shadows, watching her with those strange eyes.
The thought was cut off as she hastily ducked the naginata her target swiped at her head, dropping into a foot sweep as she ducked under his guard. Her blade flashed across the vulnerable skin of the man's neck, releasing a stream of vibrant blood. When she glanced back at the tree line where he'd been standing, blood flecked across her cheek and eyes wary, he was gone.
The second time Haruno Sakura said his name, it was slightly weary, questioning.
He didn't reply, just stood there, staring at the diagonal slash across
Submergence Ch. 1A/N: This fic takes place after chapter 507, and as I write this, 507 just came out. Most likely, this will not be canon. Although, at this point, who really cares what is canon anymore? Also made Sakura and the other people a bit older. Why? Well, come on, even on the path of a shinobi, no fifteen year old should have that much power.Submergence Ch. 1 by secretsheik
Sakura had been cleaning up Konoha with the other villagers when she heard someone call out her name. When she looked up, Neji greeted her briefly. "Sakura-san, they are bringing in an Akatsuki prisoner."
Her brows furrowed, her expression bemused as she rose from her task. "A prisoner? You mean someone actually caught one of them... alive?"
"Alive, but unconscious. They want to make sure he stays that way for a while. Tsunade-sama is still in recovery, and Shizune is unable to tend to this. That leaves you. They asked me to send for you, to keep the prisoner unconscious for as long as they require."
An errant strand of hair was shoved aside from her eye
N KisaSaku AU Story chap 1The wind blew rather roughly in the large village of Konoha that day. Sakura felt her hair though her fingers as she tried to remove the pink locks from her sight while trying to keep a hold of some newly bought groceries. She had skipped her last class in school so she could go shopping before every single person in town would roll up at the supermarkets after work or what ever.N KisaSaku AU Story chap 1 by Tanni-chan
Sakura didn't like crowds and especially huge squeezing ones in town shops. The last class had been social studies anyway so she honestly didn't care that much.
She made a right turn around a corner on her way home when she caught sight of something rather odd. A bigger group of people had gathered on the square and were talking, laughing and shouting at something and it seriously sounded like they were cheering and rooting.
The pink haired girl decided to get a closer look at what all the

He was chasing her.
'Itachi' she mused, her musing was cutt short as she felt his partner appear in the next room over from her.
She was in the old Akatsuki base, looking for clues as to where the Akatsuki have gone.
At first it seemed they just up and left.
That was not the case.
They haven't left not one.
She's running from people she doesn't even know about, she's running.
She turns left only to see the uchiha's partner, whom she's never met but has heard of.
"Heh, what do we have here?" he muses.
I start to feel the full effects of fear, Im caught.
It looks like Kakashi was right, I'm not strong enough.
"Relax, pinky I'm not like the others, and neither is Itachi."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
"I'm going to get you out of here, just don't tell anyone Be quiet and mask your chakra, follow closely."
I'm not sure why, but I know that if I don't listen I will die.
I did all that I was told, we were out of the base and into

Sakura stretched her arms above her head tiredly. This mission had been boring as any D-ranked mission could be. If only all the other genin groups hadn't already been on missions Tsunade-Sama wouldn't have bothered sending her. Courier missions were so boring! Especially for a chunin trained by one of the sanin. But at least it had gotten her out of the village for a while and away from Lee's constant attempts to get her attention.
She sighed at the thought. Lee was a nice guy. She liked him a lot as a friend but she just could never see herself with him like that. She was still in love with Sasuke after all. Well, she thought she was. Lately, she'd been noticing her thoughts didn't stray towards her once-teammate nearly as much as they used to. Perhaps she was finally moving on? The pink-haired ninja didn't know quite whether to be glad or sad about that.
