standing on either side of the lake,
meeting wearily in hopes of diplomacy,
what was once black and white is consumed in shades of gray,
having known him as the enemy but becoming more than friendly
When morning broke,
she awoke to him wrapped around her,
one hand cupping possessively over her left breast,
she could feel his adagio heartbeat against her back,
it matched the rhythm held in his hand
They parted ways,
neither turned to call for the others name,
the air between them was so very silent,
while inside their hearts beat in violence,
the allegro tempo guiding them away
Their public meeting meant an act,
each time speaking the words of their seasoned scenes,
both were recklessly hoping that no one else,

He was chasing her.
'Itachi' she mused, her musing was cutt short as she felt his partner appear in the next room over from her.
She was in the old Akatsuki base, looking for clues as to where the Akatsuki have gone.
At first it seemed they just up and left.
That was not the case.
They haven't left not one.
She's running from people she doesn't even know about, she's running.
She turns left only to see the uchiha's partner, whom she's never met but has heard of.
"Heh, what do we have here?" he muses.
I start to feel the full effects of fear, Im caught.
It looks like Kakashi was right, I'm not strong enough.
"Relax, pinky I'm not like the others, and neither is Itachi."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
"I'm going to get you out of here, just don't tell anyone Be quiet and mask your chakra, follow closely."
I'm not sure why, but I know that if I don't listen I will die.
I did all that I was told, we were out of the base and into

Sakura stretched her arms above her head tiredly. This mission had been boring as any D-ranked mission could be. If only all the other genin groups hadn't already been on missions Tsunade-Sama wouldn't have bothered sending her. Courier missions were so boring! Especially for a chunin trained by one of the sanin. But at least it had gotten her out of the village for a while and away from Lee's constant attempts to get her attention.
She sighed at the thought. Lee was a nice guy. She liked him a lot as a friend but she just could never see herself with him like that. She was still in love with Sasuke after all. Well, she thought she was. Lately, she'd been noticing her thoughts didn't stray towards her once-teammate nearly as much as they used to. Perhaps she was finally moving on? The pink-haired ninja didn't know quite whether to be glad or sad about that.
